I Don't Know How People Make It Without the Lord

"Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord."

Jeremiah 1:8

Dear Friends,

Even a casual look at this world's condition leaves us shaking our head in disbelief. And yet with all that's going on, we discover that many people don't have the Lord in their lives. I don't see how they make it without His presence. But as astonishing as it would be to not have the Lord has an unbeliever, what is even more tragic is when a believer goes about their daily life without a genuine sense of God’s closeness. Throughout scripture, when God called someone into his service, the first thing He did was to remind that person of His personal presence. We can see this example in the life of Jeremiah. God knew Jeremiah would face opposition in his calling of bringing back Israel to the Lord. He knew that people would resist him and drag their feet. So God's message to him was, “You can make it…you can be strong… you can have victory – but it's not because you have done it on your own.

God knows how difficult life can be and all the struggles we face on a daily basis. His unqualified promise is that He is with us and will never leave us. What an amazing thing it is to have the Lord in our life! I really don't see how people make it without Him.
