Our Sufficiency is of God

"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God."

2 Corinthians 3:5

Dear Friends,

Do you think that God would ever ask you to do something without giving you the power to accomplish it? Of course not, and yet if you're anything like I am, you struggle with fears, frustrations and even inadequacy about making a success of your Christian walk. The wonderful Apostle Paul had the same struggles as we have of feelings of inability. Yet he looked beyond his own strength and realized that somehow God would help him accomplish what was needed. This doesn't necessarily mean that everything we do in life will be done perfectly, but certainly that each step of obedience is a great victory! The alternative to stepping out in faith is a life where we do nothing and say nothing…and that can’t be good. If you ever feel inadequate, let me just reassure you of something – you are! And so am I. The best way to become all that God intends, is to let HIM make you adequate. Friend, wake up in the morning and get on your knees or better yet, fall on your face before God and say, “God, I can't do anything today without you – you alone are my sufficiency.” God is so awesome...by using weak and inadequate humans He gets all the glory.

Resting In My Savior Is My All In All,

Dr. Tim Pollock, Senior Pastor
