“And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”
Even for the strongest, life can get you down. We may not voice it much, almost everyone feels like giving up and quitting at times. While quitting might sound like a good option – giving up on God’s will deeply impacts others’ lives as well as our own.
Why did the Apostle Paul encourage the saints to never give up and expect victory? Because through God, you will conquer. Know that your victory will come:
• Completely – “He shall bruise Satan under your feet.” Our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, in spite of all the power of darkness that was against Him, rose and was triumphant. And in so doing, He disarmed the strong man, Satan, and broke his power.
• Shortly – “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.” God didn’t say there would be no battles in life, just that the war will come to an end quicker than we might imagine. And certainly, that will be true of Heaven. Every saint of God that goes to Heaven is a living witness that God wins. Never give up; before you know it, the victory will be yours.
