Jesus is Still Lord of All

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:9

Dear Friends,

Because of the world we live in, many people are facing some especially tough times. Broken homes, health concerns and, of course, the crises that continue to arise around the world. At times it may seem that things are way out of control.

In contrast to these helpless feelings, scripture reminds us that Jesus is Lord over every circumstance. Even more importantly we need to recognize and proclaim His Lordship, even when it seems as though He is not, “thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus” (Romans 10:9). The Apostle reminded Christians how vital it was to openly profess their relationship to the Lord, not only to this world but also to their own mind and heart.

In troubled times some people feel that God isn’t paying attention. But speaking out loud with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and that nothing is outside of His control will empower us to believe. Jesus is Lord over every situation and somehow and in some way, He will come to our rescue. Jesus is still Lord of all!
