What’s My Reaction to God’s Boundaries?

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

1 John 5:3

Dear Friends,

In order to stay healthy, medical professionals tell us that we should have periodic checkups. And as we age, one of the most important tests is on the heart. What is true in our physical life is equally valuable in our spiritual vitality. Periodically doing a “heart checkup” will reveal where we stand and help keep us safe, and from self-destructing.

We need to ask ourselves the question periodically, “What’s my reaction to God’s boundaries?” The beloved John indicated that when a person’s heart is filled with the love of God, and an understanding of God’s love towards us, he or she will be determined to obey God in all that He says. As a result, God’s commands will be easy and pleasant. People with good spiritual health remind themselves often that every promise and every prohibition in Scripture are equally good and beneficial.

What kind of a Christian are you, friend? Are you one that has to understand God’s rules before accepting them? Submitting to God’s plan always brings safety and blessings.
