Father Knows Best

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Dear Friends,

In the 1950s there was a popular TV sitcom called “Father Knows Best”. It purportedly chronicled the typical family life of the day. Whether accurate or not, the title of the program is true of our Heavenly Father!

Solomon issued a clear caution in our text of the real possibility self-deception. How can we avoid self-destructing? By following the Father’s way! As we give His word our sincere focus and following we can rest that all things will turn out good.

When we obey the Father, He takes full responsibility for our life and will provide everything we need to follow His instructions. Our choices reveal if we believe “Father knows best” or are walking a sinful life of independence.
