The Heavenly Father Welcomes Every Person Who Comes to Him

“And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Luke 23:43

Dear Friends,

After you have lived for a few years you soon begin to realize that death is an inevitable happening in every person’s life. Most of us don’t know when our exit from this life is going to come but there is one in Scripture who was well aware of that fact. That person was the thief on the cross. Jesus reminded him that “today” following his death, this redeemed criminal was going to live in paradise forever with Jesus.

Some of us, perhaps most of us, who are reading these words today will also live eternally in God’s presence but, sadly, others will not. What gives a person a right to enter paradise? When you trust Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are then placed into God’s family and then paradise (Heaven) is now your eternal home. But if you reject Jesus, you remain separated from God and under the condemnation of your sin.

The thief on the cross reminds us that the Heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His son, Jesus Christ. Regardless of your background, age or anything about your current circumstances, if you will come to Jesus humbly you have the right to enter paradise.

Dear friend, why not become a part of God’s family today? You might say something like this to God, “Father, I have sinned against you and right here and now I ask you to save my soul. I believe that Jesus Christ is God. I accept that His death on the cross has paid my sin debt in full and I receive that.” Praise God! If you prayed those words, you can have the assurance just like the thief on the cross that if you were to die today you would spend eternity in paradise.

Thanking God for the Shed Blood Today,

Dr. Tim Pollock, Senior Pastor
