No Need to FEAR in This New YEAR!

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

Hebrews 13:5-6

Dear Friends,

We as followers of Christ have no need to fear what the New Year holds in store. The writer of Hebrews counseled apprehensive believers 2,000 years ago to base their confidence about the future from two unshakeable truths straight from the mouth of the Savior, “…for he hath said” (Hebrews 13:5).

God’s PRESENCE. God said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5). This was originally said to Joshua some 1,000 years before this but belongs to all the faithful servants of God through the ages. There are no fewer than five negatives heaped together in the original Greek grammar to super affirm the promise. Thank the Lord, every genuine, born-again believer will have the gracious presence of God with him every step this coming year!

God’s PROMISE. You can be assured of the help of God this year, “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Hebrews 13:6). No matter who or what comes against you this year, God can make it to turn to your good.

I’m looking forward to a great year because we have a great God!

Blessings on You,

Dr. Tim Pollock, Senior Pastor
