What Can We Be Sure Of?
“But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.” 2 Timothy 3:14
Dear friends,
If you’re human, you are hurting. And if you’re not hurting right now, you will be soon. The fact is we as humans have circumstances that try us – often deeply. In these kind of times what can we be sure of?
God is with us in our troubles - Our Lord Jesus understands what it is like to suffer, be rejected, hurt or lose a loved one
He carries His children’s burdens - Isn’t it wonderful to know that God has assigned Himself the task of carrying our heartaches. Burdens are lifted at Calvary.
God is not limited by anything -There is nothing too big for the God who is with us and in us. Christians do not need to be afraid.
God has a purpose for allowing hard times - It’s not easy to admit, but often we learn more in the tough times than in the good.
God’s promises are always true - We are called to live a life of faith. This means that even when circumstances confound us, we are to stay obedient to the Word.
God will never leave you nor forsake you - When troubles are surrounding you; remember - God is there - He has not left you, and He never will.
I am grateful for Paul’s timely reminder to Pastor Timothy of key truths he could be assured of despite life’s difficulties. Confidently, Dr. Tim Pollock, Senior Pastor
