Where Does Your Security Rest?

“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

2 Corinthians 3:5

Dear Friends,

As Christians our emotions will waver. However, as we show our conviction in God’s promises - a peace will follow. A peace that not only strengthens our own heart, but will reassure others of the greatness of God.

When the Apostle Paul was reminding the Corinthian church of all the things that he had to go though, he very confidently said that his total - 100% - reliance was on God. Because he knew where his security came from, he knew he would be capable of accomplishments far beyond he might’ve imagined.

I’ve noticed something about my life. When I have patience and endurance when everybody else is in an uproar, I become a signboard pointing others to Christ. People take notice when they observe a God inspired sufficiency in us. As they watch us achieve things for God even in the midst of adversity, they sense the difference Jesus Christ has made in our life.

Jesus Is My Social Security,
