Maintaining Inner Peace
“...Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9b
Dear Friends,
Do you know the best way of lowering stress? The apostle Paul did. It is to maintain God's perspective in the ups and downs of life by tapping into the power of Christ.
We too, can have that kind of peace. To do so, we must first accept that God’s priority for us is transformation and not necessarily ease. God is always busy changing us into Christ’s image...and He often uses the circumstances of life. Until we come to terms with God's plan, true contentment will evade us.
Having embraced these truths, we can appropriate the power of the risen Christ. The answer is submitting to God. Then, instead of reacting to life based on our own limited viewpoint we are responding to the fact that we belong to Christ.
Yielding control of our circumstances to the Holy Spirit allows God’s will to be done and enables us to accept it. When we can say, “Lord, whatever You want, it's all right with me,” we experience the inner peace promised to us!
Grace and Peace to You,
