Feeling Inadequate

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ…And who is sufficient for these things?”

2 Corinthians 2:14, 16

Dear Friends,

Feeling inadequate is not a sin, but using it as an excuse is…

To be sure, most everybody struggles with feelings that they are not measuring up at work, relationships, marriage, parenting or even the Christian life. But when God challenges us to do something beyond what we feel is our capabilities, it’s all too easy to focus on our own issues and pull back.

The Apostle Paul reminded the saints at the church of Corinth that as a minister of the Gospel, he was required to preach a message that was very challenging for the average person to accept. He also realized that as a result of these people’s decision, they would either spend eternity with God or without. Paul wanted to do his best to faithfully carry out his responsibilities, so he cried out for the help of the Lord, “who is sufficient for these things.” The Lord reminded him that all victories come from Him – and they are guaranteed!

Don’t miss out on the tremendous opportunities has for you because feelings of inadequacy hold you back. Focus on the Lord, Jesus Christ; walk forward by faith and experience the victory that He has planned. With God’s help, you can accomplish everything God calls you to.

Living by Faith,

Dr. Tim Pollock, Senior Pastor
