Saved for Sure

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

1 John 5:13

Dear Friends,

In our relationship with God, as with people, we want to know where we stand. It’s really difficult to move forward when you’re not sure how the other person feels.

The Apostle John encouraged these new believers that there are things in life that are uncertain…health, finances, etc…but there is one thing they didn’t have to worry about – their relationship with God. That was a done deal!

I’m convinced that far too many Christians fail to serve the Lord with joy because they’re uncertain of where they stand with God…unsure if they are measuring up. Dear friend, you can trust that our faithful God is unchanging in His attitude towards you and I. He saved you while you were a sinner and He’s not going to drop you now because something isn’t just perfect. You are saved for sure!

If you doubt where you are in your relationship with God, humble yourself, make things right with your Father and watch the joy flood back.
