Make Big Requests of God

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

John 14:12, 13

Dear Friends,

The disciples were broken hearted to think of parting with their Master. What will happen to us? Where will we go? To silence these fears, Christ assured them that He was as close as a prayer, "Whatsoever you shall ask…that will I do” (vs. 13).

But they must think big and ask big! Jesus wanted to do “great works” in them. But they must:

Stay Humble – You have to ask. God does not owe you or I anything. There may be more to the prayer custom of kneeling than just posture.

Stay Open – Ask for anything…anything that is good and can be used for God’s glory – ask! You may ask for assistance in your place of work, for wisdom, for deliverance from your enemies, for success in ministry.

Dear friend, occasions will vary, but let’s ask and let’s ask big! Jesus is in heaven just waiting to answer.

How Big Is Your God?
