Don't Forget the Gas

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Luke 24:49

Dear Friends,

The spirit of God indwells all Christians in the moment they believe (Ephesians 1). But there is a big difference between having the Holy Spirit in us and having His power work out of us. Consider the fact of your car. We may have a nice vehicle with a strong engine and great transmission, good tires and yet, nothing happens. That’s because when you forget the gas, nothing works! In like manner, we may have be a born-again child of God, but not have the gas of the Holy Spirit within us. Jesus reminded the disciples in Luke 24, that even though they were true believers they needed divine gas to make their life go! When we ask God to give us the Holy Spirits power it’s like putting the gas nozzle up to our car and filling it up. Through the Word, worship and work we find the energy to get the job done and make a life that is truly amazing! Seeking His Power, Dr. Tim Pollock, Senior Pastor
