None of What's "Ours" is Really Ours

“The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

Psalm 24:1

Dear Friends,

Money plays a big part in our lives. It would be nice if we didn’t have to mess with it, but the reality is that we can’t function without it. But God has a bigger plan for our money than food, shelter, transportation, entertainment or whatever. In order to get a godly grip on our finances, we need to acknowledge what David proclaimed, “The earth is the LORD'S…” – He owns it all.

Everything we have or are in one way or another comes from the hand of a gracious Creator. He gave the materials for everything that is put together; therefore, it all belongs to Him. As humans we are the managers of His wealth entrusted to us. There are no such things as sacred and secular for the believer, everything we do is spiritual. We cannot separate our finances from our Christian faith.

Why not take out a penny from your pocket, look at it and realize that the words, “In God We Trust,” are a reminder that God has authority over everything we own, and we are to cooperate with His desires.
