Pro-Choice Is No Choice

“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

Psalm 139:13-14

Dear Friends,

A common misconception among many today are those who say, “A woman's body is her own." A Christian knows that statement is erroneous for at least two good reasons. First, our body actually belongs to the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:13).

Secondly, we're actually not talking about her body; we're talking about the body of a little baby. Freedom of choice cannot include the freedom to kill someone else.

"Well," you say, "the baby lives inside the mother." Suppose I have an unwanted guest in my home? Do I have the right to kill an unwanted guest in my home? The so called “Pro-Choice” people have it backwards. As I once heard someone say, “Pro-choice is no choice for the baby!” No mother or father has the right to kill their children, no matter what kind of choice they say they have.

"Well," you say, "it's my own body." But you really don't even have that much right over your own body.

On this weekend that is dedicated to the sanctity of life, let’s remember King David’s exclamation, “...we are fearfully and wonderfully MADE” (Psalm 139:14). Make the choice to honor God and life!
