Do You Understand the Holy Spirit’s True Identity?

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

John 16:13

Dear Friends,

Within the Christian world there are a wide variety of opinions about who the Holy Spirit is and what He does in the life of a Believer. For some, He is their main focus; others, sadly, ignore Him; some even suggest that He is only a power.

Thankfully, we have the blessed Word of God to give us a true and faithful description of who He is. The Holy Spirit is a divine person. The beloved John reminded us that God the Holy Spirit, even though co-equal, takes a support role to God the Father and God the Son as it says, He does not, “speak of Himself” (John 16:13). As a person He distributes spiritual gifts to the saints as He sees fit. Also, as a person, He comforts and guides.

Do you have a personal relationship with the person of the Holy Spirit? Have you said to Him, “I receive your ministry Holy Spirit…I ask for Your power and special presence in my life.”

Come Holy Spirit We Need You,

Dr. Tim Pollock, Senior Pastor
