God Is Good To Everyone

“The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”

Psalm 145:9

Dear Friends,

Everything that God does is good. Everything that God is good. We may look at the world’s current events and question if God really is good. And at times, we view some adversity in our own life and question whether God is as kind as the Bible states. But with confidence the Psalmist proclaimed that God’s tender mercy is over ALL His works.

It is a fact that things in the world might not be good or a certain circumstance in our life may not be good, but God’s goodness is not dependent on what’s happening around us. The clear truth of Scripture is that God is loving and kind to everyone and at all times. And I, for one, am very glad that God is good despite how I am or what’s going on around me. Now, to be honest, I sometimes wonder why God should be good to people when they are not good. It seems to me some people don’t deserve God’s good treatment but the fact is God loves everyone – the just and the unjust.

That is not to say that God will not visit judgment upon the lost. While God may be good to the just and the unjust, the fullness of His goodness and the completeness of His favor are reserved for those who have been born again by the blood of Jesus Christ. Those who have received Jesus as their as their personal Lord and Savior will receive in heaven the fullness of God’s goodness.
