The Shield

“He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk uprightly;”

Proverbs 2:7 (NKJV)

Theme: Obedience Today we are going to have some fun. Put one of your children behind a chair or give them a big pillow or something to act as a shield. Then take some small pillows and throw them at the child. After you’ve laughed and had a good time sit the kids down and let them talk about shields and what they are used for. Read Proverbs 2:7 and notice that it says God is a “shield” to those who live right. God will protect us from harm if we live by His Word. Remind your kids how important it is to obey God. Life is always better when we follow God’s ways.
