The Tragedy of Rejecting God

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;”

Romans 1:28

Dear Friends,

The nature of our unredeemed body, soul and spirit as humans is constantly seeking something. It is a vacuum that can never be full. A person’s life remains hopelessly empty if God is not given His proper place.

According to Romans chapter 1, the endless pursuit of anything but God is not only unwise; it is the greatest of all tragedies. Because as we seek for things to take the place of God, we fall into idolatry and from idolatry, it’s a short step to destructive immorality and evil.

Eventually if we continue to reject the clear offer of God’s love, Paul states in Romans 1:28 that, “…God gave them over to a reprobate mind…” What could be worse than to have God turn away His grace and leave us to our own devices? The tragedy of rejecting God is locking Him out of our lives forever.

I lovingly remind each of you that you are on a slippery slope if you are worshipping anything other than God. Turn back now before it’s too late!

In Christian Love,

Dr. Tim Pollock
